The 3-in-1 concept to serve perfect solution to different needs
The DIMAX-Pro name – as a new class in the AV industry – covers hybrid matrix switchers that can satisfy all rendering requirements of an AV project, an office department, a building or even a factory.
This unprecedented 3-in-1 solution integrates different functions into a single chassis.

  • The presentation matrix offers scaling up, scaling down, seamless switching, cross fade switching and PIP rendering.
  • The routing matrix performs matrix switching from any input to any or multiple outputs without any resolution change
  • The video processor can drive video walls with real time display and scaling of input signals to any video wall position.

New concept of sections to handle multiple users and services
DMX202-Pro family introduces the new concept of section. Each of the sections may have assigned input signals to handle, outputs to control and users with different access rights. The hierarchical user right system ensures user access and control to selected sections and so selected inputs and outputs only. The world class DMX202-Pro products provides free setup for the administrator to

  • define sections and name them
  • assign specific input channels
  • assign selected out channel
  • define operation mode as presentation matrix, routing matrix or video processor
  • assign users
  • assign different rights for each user

Rather sophisticated architectures and operation modes can be designed and performed with these new tools.

The right number of input and output signals assigned to the users
The users of different sections may share input signals but have a distinct set of output signals to manage. The channel numbers can be set one-by-one and no restriction to map the 4-channels capability of the input and out boards.

Real time signal handling for perfect customer satisfaction
The DMX202-Pro products perform all operations in real time. So the output signals are displayed in real time from the inputs regardless of the signal resolution, scaling, PIP and number of signals controlled. No drop of frames, no black frames or transitions can be experienced.

Unlimited scaling of input signals to outputs
The DMX202-Pro devices contain two output signal scaling engines for each of the output channels. The scaling operation has no limit so the scale up from any input resolution as for example 640×480 or 1024×768 to any output resolution up to 1920×108, 3840×2160 or even 4098×2160 are possible. The scale down from any input resolution as for example 3840×2106 can be performed to any output resolution as 1290×720 is possible. One of the scaling engines serve the main output while the second one supports the PIP channel. The scaling operation results crystal clear image displayed in real time with no drop of frames.

Presentation Effects
The Picture-in-Picture visualization means display of a second input over the main output window. This second window can display any of the input sources in any position and any scaling/size over the main image. Cropping and arbitrary positioning are supported while the visualization is performed in real time.

These DMX202 matrices offer seamless switching of two inputs to the very same output. This best-in-class effect has perfect transition of the signals, meaning no distortion and no black frames. Practically this is perfect switch with zero latency because the change of input frame A to input B is performed during the VSYNC, i.e. the vertical synchron signal active period. This operation is performed by complex hardware FPGA devices.
Fading in means that the video image will open slowly fading from the background. The background can be a solid colour background or even other live video image from any video input. You can customize the time frame to your application.
Fade-out means that the video image fades slowly out to the background. The background can be a solid colour background or even other active video image from any video input. You can customize the desired time to your application.
Cross-fade means that the video image of input A slowly fades to video image B through a smooth transition. This operation is performed in real time of course.

OSD over output signals (On-Screen-Display)
There is a built-in information text about the current output settings and input connections. This information text can be visualized on the OSD (On-Screen-Display) panel. The visibility settings of the OSD panel can be changed here.

  • Auto: the information panel is automatically displayed in case of any changes in the settings.
  • Yes: the information panel is visualized permanently.
  • No: the information panel is not visible.

By default, the information panel can be seen on the top-left corner of each display output. The position, size, timing, content, background colour, the text colour and the highlighted colour can also be specified in the OSD panel.

Remote preview of input signals for the total management of the system
The graphics user interface has the built-in option to display stamp sized preview of multiple input signals. This live preview makes possible the check the input signal validity and content by the operator continuously. Great chance to have the total overview what is happening and what must be displayed. This is a remote preview so the operator can see remotely without any direct access to any of the inputs.

Remote preview of output content for full supervision

The graphics user interface has the built-in option to display stamp sized preview of multiple output signals. This live preview makes possible the check the output signal validity and content by the operator continuously. Custom Output Timing Editor helps to create a new output timing, modify a created timing or delete one of created timings. The Custom Output Timing feature will expand the output timing list on output settings page, if it is compliant with the output card capabilities. Several custom timings can be created and they can be used for several output channels also.
This editor gives total access to the parameters in order to create a custom output timing:

  • The Pixel Frequency (unit: MHz) – the number of pixels per second
  • The Active Area Width (unit: pixels) – the number of visible pixels per line
  • The H Blanking Interval (unit: pixels)
  • The H Front Porch (unit: pixels)
  • The H Sync Width (unit: pixels)
